If a custodial and noncustodial parent in Texas wish to terminate?
If the child is on Medicaid or receiving any sort of federal or state assistance, then you cannot do so since the Texas taxpayers want reimbursement. I would suggest talking to an attorney before proceeding. If the person paying child support has it withheld from their pay then their employer cannot stop the child support without a court order. The person receiving the support can just return it to the paying person. The visitation for the child can be as mutually agreed to. If neither party files contempt on the other one, then the judge usually wont get involved. I would get everything in writing and file it with the court to protect yourself if the other person changes their mind. Again, before you do anything Id talk to a lawyer.
